![]() My name is Christina Moore, and I live in Seattle, Washington with my husband, Jonathan. I got involved with the War and Sacrifice book project when Jonathan's cousin, Janell, asked if I wanted to help her interview World War II veterans and write their stories. Caught up in Janell's desire to do something that would honor her and Jonathan's grandfather, I readily accepted. Janell's enthusiasm and passion for the project is contagious. After going to graduate school for journalism and finishing just in time to join many other journalists struggling in this job market and with the changing media, it is wonderful to have this project to throw myself into heart and soul. |
![]() My name is Janell Wood and I grew up in Snohomish. I currently live in Bonney Lake with my family. My husband is a high school teacher and I am a stay-at-home mom and photographer. I started my own business a couple years ago, WoodMoore Photography. I am loving working on this project- creating, writing, photographing, and working with people... And it is so humbling to be part of sharing a person's history. The night we interviewed my grandpa, we brought burgers and a milkshake and he sat in his recliner opening up like I'd never heard him do before. Later I realized, I will never forget that night as long as I live. I have been extremely blessed with a patient husband, a supportive family, and of course, Christina. This dream would not have been a reality without their dedication and faith. |
